Bugs Bunny is confronted by a frantic turtle who warns him of a rogue Tasmanian devil on the loose. Despite being a "strong murderous beast" that eats most animals, the Tasmanian devil is oblivious to the fact that it shouldn't eat rabbits, as Bugs discovers through his encyclopedia. Bugs outsmarts the beast by using a series of clever tricks, including a bubble-gum chicken, a decoy deer, and a giant slingshot, before finally advertising for the Tasmanian devil in the Tasmanian Post-Dispatch.
