Dr. Bill Remsen, a fashionable New York physician, disguises himself as a policeman to save his friend's job. He's assigned to protect the quirky socialite Mrs. Lorelei Dodge-Blodgett, but things take a turn when he's tasked with guarding her pretty niece Judy, who's planning to run away with a gangster. Through his charming singing, Dr. Remsen wins Judy's heart and she decides to keep him as her permanent bodyguard.
