In the Sierra Nevada Mountains, a starving man resorts to cannibalism during a harsh winter, but a boy escapes the gruesome scene. Years later, a group of teenagers, including Kayley, Mike, Nicole, and Thomas, arrive at Thomas's family home in Donner Pass for a weekend getaway. However, their trip takes a dark turn when they discover that the police are searching for a suspect, James Michael Epstein. As tensions rise, the group's beer supply runs out, and they send Brody to town to buy more. He never returns, and the group soon finds his mangled body, eaten by an unknown assailant. As the group's numbers dwindle, they must uncover the identity of the cannibal before it's too late.
