In 1967, a young boy named Dax is left to fend for himself in rural China after his missionary parents are brutally murdered by rebels. He's eventually taken in by a Shawling Temple Monk and becomes a skilled martial artist. Twenty-five years later, Dax reunites with an old friend who now works for the FBI and is tasked with helping to solve a case involving the trafficking of young girls.
