Victor Thompson, a wealthy man, inherits a fortune from his family's boat dealership after his father and grandfather's passing. Despite his lack of experience and talent, he's always dreamed of becoming a film director. His attempt at directing a horror film ends in disaster, leaving him blind and depressed. He's institutionalized, but manages to contact filmmakers through a smart phone and offers to finance their projects if he can direct them. He's eventually taken to a quiet town in Pennsylvania, where he meets a coven of witches who offer to cure his blindness. Against his family's wishes, he accepts their offer, leading to a descent into a world of Satan worship, murder, and a shocking betrayal of his own daughters.
