A group of friends, including Allen and his boyfriend Justin, inherit a farmhouse from Allen's late grandfather. As they clean out the old house, tensions rise as Allen deals with his grief and Justin tries to get along with the others. However, their conflicts are soon overshadowed by a terrifying presence: a living scarecrow named Billy, who kills anyone who speaks ill of his creator or plans to sell the farm. Billy uses the organs of his victims to create new living scarecrows, making it seem like they're surrounded by deadly apparitions.
