Rita Page, an aspiring showgirl in Las Vegas, and her talentless daughter Franchesca, pursue Broadway fame after a disastrous audition. Franchesca lands a role in a poorly organized musical, "The Lady does it all", but they soon discover the producer, Veronica, has a diabolical plan to make the show a flop. The mother-daughter duo teams up with the show's prima donna, Envisiona De La Paz, to thwart Veronica and help Franchesca become a star.
