Gardens of Stone

In the late 1960s, during the Vietnam War, idealistic soldier Jackie Willow arrives at Fort Myer, expecting to attend the Academy and then head to Vietnam. As the son of a veteran sergeant, Jackie becomes protégé to his father's former friends, Sergeants Clell Hazard and 'Goody' Nelson. Promoted and married to his childhood sweetheart Rachel Feld to secure his Academy spot, Jackie becomes a lieutenant and requests deployment to Vietnam, ultimately returning to Arlington National Cemetery.
