Gideon's Daughter is a movie that explores themes of love, loss, and parenthood. It is set in the late 1990s and early 2000s, against the backdrop of the rise of New Labour, the death of Princess Diana, and the development of the Millennium Dome. The story follows Gideon, a publicist and widower, and his daughter Natasha, who is struggling to come to terms with her father's infidelity and her mother's death. Natasha's emotional detachment from her father leads her to plan to leave the country, but she eventually warms up to her father's new partner, Stella, who is also grieving the loss of her young son.
