Fur-trapper Shawn Garrett escapes a horse-stealing charge by buying the horse with a gold nugget, attracting the attention of a man named McCracken and his gang. Garrett and his partner Jim Rainbolt evade the gang, hiding their gold before seeking refuge in a landowner's hacienda. However, the landowner discovers the gold, and Garrett and Rainbolt must fight to protect it and their lives.
