Ranger Steve Ainslee infiltrates a group of outlaws after their leader, Major Burton, is killed and his horses stolen. Steve aims to capture Judge Blake, whose name is on the ransom check, but his plan backfires and he's caught instead. The judge then rallies the townspeople to lynch Steve.
