As she navigates this new environment, she faces challenges from rival singer Dolly Pop, who's bitter about Bette stealing her job, and Georgia's plans to thwart the plans of the ruthless businessman Sam Diamond. Meanwhile, Bette's personal life is complicated by her sister's troubles with her daredevil boyfriend, Danny.
