In 1944 Poland, Jakob, a Jewish shopkeeper, is caught out of curfew and summoned to ghetto headquarters. While waiting, he overhears a German radio broadcast about Russian troop movements. Returning to the ghetto, Jakob shares the information, sparking rumors of a secret radio within the ghetto. He uses this opportunity to spread hope by sharing more "radio" updates, while secretly hiding a young Jewish girl who escaped from a camp transport train.
