Two engineering students, Harshvardhan and Abhijit, sneak away to Bombay for a short break, but end up framed for a murder they didn't commit. Desperate for help, they turn to Abhijit's uncle, Keshav, a clumsy and hapless individual who's never won a lawsuit. Keshav must defend the boys against a formidable prosecutor, Advocated Phandnavis, leading to a dramatic showdown that highlights the differences between rural and urban life.
