Kazakh Khanate: The Golden Throne background

Kazakh Khanate: The Golden Throne

The Mongol Empire, founded by Genghis Khan's heirs, spanned across Eurasia, absorbing numerous foreign states through conquest and cultural blending.

In the 15th century, the descendants of Genghis Khan established their own empire and conquered neighboring states. Abulkhair Shaibani seized power in the White Horde, prompting the two rightful heirs, Kerei and Zhanibek, to rally nomadic tribes against the oppressive ruler. After migrating from the west to Mogolistan, they revived the ancient Kazakh Khanate, electing Sultan Kerey, a descendant of Jochi and Urus Khan. The Kazakh people hoped to find peace and freedom in their new homeland, but bloody battles, severe trials, and bitter losses awaited them.
