Keep It in the Family background

Keep It in the Family

Two roommates, Alex and Karen, yearn for a sense of ownership and belonging, but their pursuit of a dream apartment is thwarted by financial constraints, prompting them to reevaluate their values and goals.

Alex and Karen, young adults living in a communal situation, fall in love and decide to move out, but struggle to afford their desired apartment. When their parents refuse to help, they retaliate by using their only perceived power - sexual manipulation. Karen becomes Roy's secretary and seduces him, while Alex seduces Celia, Karen's mother, despite both parents being married. As tensions rise, Alex becomes jealous of Karen's relationship with his father, leading to a breakup. Karen and Roy ultimately get married, and complications arise when both families meet before the wedding, forcing each individual to confront their true feelings.
