Kentucky Moonshine background

Kentucky Moonshine

Tony Martin travels to Kentucky in search of fresh talent for his radio show, only to discover that the Ritz brothers are actually from New York, masquerading as hillbillies to increase their popularity on his program.

Jerry Wade, a radio star, is struggling with declining ratings and decides to travel to Kentucky to find inspiration for a new show. He meets Caroline, a young woman from Kentucky trying to break into radio, and her friends, the Ritz brothers, who are also aspiring performers. Wade discovers them in the hills, where they're living in beards, guns, and moonshine, and decides to stage a broadcast with them. Despite technical issues, the show doesn't go as planned, and Wade takes the entire group back to New York with him.
