A young woman, Ruth, spends a weekend in the Hamptons with friends and decides to sleep in a reportedly haunted guest house. After a night of heavy drinking, she has a chance encounter with a ghostly presence, Michael, which leads to a sexual encounter. However, Ruth contracts a sexually transmitted disease from Michael, with severe and unexpected consequences.
