In 1920s Madrid, Salvador Dali, a 18-year-old aspiring artist, joins a group of social elite at the university, including Federico Garcia Lorca and Luis Bunuel. Salvador is drawn to Federico's charismatic personality, while Federico is oblivious to the attention. As Luis leaves for Paris to pursue his artistic career, Federico and Salvador grow closer, sharing their deepest thoughts and feelings, and develop a strong bond that goes beyond a meeting of the minds.
