Amber Verdon, a project manager at Marsh Technologies, is torn between her love of travel and a promotion that would give her a more settled life in London. She returns to her hometown of Whitbrooke Harbor to help her mother at the family café, but finds the business facing financial hardship due to a rent increase. Amber becomes involved in the town's Founder's Day celebrations and works closely with Jason Taylor, a carpenter and descendant of the town's founders. As they spend more time together, they start to fall in love. With her future uncertain, Amber must decide what to do about the London job and whether Jason will be a part of her decision.
