In Kolkata, a petty criminal named Satya and his Bangladeshi lover Beuti, an illegal sex worker, are struggling to make a living. When Beuti tries to open a legitimate bank account, Satya decides to rob her before she can transfer her valuables. Meanwhile, a former factory worker named Chandu, who is now a night guard at an ATM, is struggling to accept his wife's new job as a maid in a high-end condo. When his colleague convinces him to work as a drug courier, Satya meets Chandu and buys drugs. As Satya's relationship with Beuti deteriorates, he decides to feed her a sedative-laced paan, causing her to overdose. Faced with a difficult choice, Satya's decision will have a profound impact on several lives.
