Mickey Mouse and his loyal dog Pluto are reading scary stories together when they stumble upon a mysterious noise. They investigate and find a little mouse abandoned on the porch. Mickey tries to entertain the young mouse with silly antics, including impressions of Charlie Chaplin and a game of leapfrog with a toy. However, the mouse is hungry, and Mickey must prepare a bottle to feed it. Meanwhile, Pluto gets into mischief, causing chaos with toys and a fishbowl.
