In the underground city, Maciste and Bangor are forced to mine gold and diamonds, but the queen, Halis Mosab, chooses Maciste as her consort if he can complete challenges. He saves Princess Saliura from a giant ape and returns to the surface, where the white-clad marauders can't follow due to their vulnerability to sunlight. Maciste then rescues the other captives, while Katar, the high priest's son, plots to marry the queen, unaware she's not one of them.
