In this film, a clumsy but skilled impersonator, Ernie Williams, is tasked with mimicking British Colonel MacKenzie, unaware that the colonel is under threat from assassins. When the colonel's plane crashes, Williams continues to wear the disguise to mislead the Germans about the D-Day invasion.
