In the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, two performers, Jorge and Enrique, take in an orphan named Miguel and tour the country with their troupe. As they witness the devastating effects of the war, they face suspicion from the "Nationals" who suspect that some members of the company may be collaborating with the Republicans, a betrayal of the Franco Regime.
