Kev's first day as a district nurse in Worcester is a baptism by fire as he accompanies Flora on her rounds. Despite initial setbacks, Kev learns quickly under Flora's guidance, but their differing ideologies on community nursing lead to a clash, resulting in Kev's notebook being thrown out the window. After Shirley, Flora's favorite patient, passes away, Kev takes the reins and helps Flora through her grief. By the end of the week, Kev's experiences have reignited Flora's passion for nursing.
