In a small town, a corrupt judge's illegal activities, including land sales and cattle theft, are exposed by a determined sheriff, culminating in a violent showdown.

In the small town of Austin, Judge Curry is secretly selling off the land to settlers while his men steal the cattle to supply beef. When the Sheriff accuses butcher Gore of possessing stolen beef, Gore murders him in cold blood. Judge Curry then hastily organizes an election to move the county seat, allowing him to preside over Gore's trial. However, Sheriff Brill manages to get the Governor to reverse the decision, leading to a violent showdown between Curry's men and the ranchers.
