Prelude to Fame

Aspiring musician Nick Morell forms a connection with Guido, a young Italian boy, during a family vacation, which leads him to discover the boy's remarkable talent.

Nick Morell, son of a famous English philosopher, befriends a young Italian boy named Guido who has an extraordinary talent for music and memory. When a neighboring couple discovers Guido's abilities, they convince his parents to let him be educated by a renowned tutor, Dr. Lorenzo. However, the boy's new mentor, Signora Bondini, isolates him from his family and everyone else, using his talent to gain fame and fortune. She even prepares to adopt him and take him to America, keeping his family in the dark about his whereabouts.
