Wolfgang, with the support of his wife Sandra, embarks on a journey to find his unknown father. When he lands a role in a Hollywood film, he surprisingly gets his father, German actor Walter, cast as his on-screen father, without Walter's knowledge. This is a poignant reunion, as thirty years earlier Walter left Germany, abandoning Kate and their child, Wolfgang, after their affair, unaware Kate was carrying his child.
