Steve Guttenberg's character Jimmy and his girlfriend Kate are in the midst of a breakup, unaware that their home is being burgled by a gay individual. When Kate leaves, Jimmy is left alone with the thief, Lombardo Boyar. A confrontation ensues, and Jimmy begins to question his own sensitivity.
