In the sci-fi adventure film, a mysterious disease suddenly afflicts Earthmen, causing instant death and a purple mark on the forehead. Dr. Zarkov investigates and discovers a spaceship from the kingdom of Mongo spreading a deadly dust across the atmosphere. Accompanied by Flash Gordon and Dale Arden, Zarkov drives off the ship and seeks aid from Prince Barin in the friendly kingdom of Arboria. Together, they embark on a perilous quest to rescue a Frigian general, learn the plague's antidote, and battle against Ming's robotic army.
