In January 1972, a South Korean military base in Vietnam receives a distress call from a missing platoon believed to be dead. Led by decorated Lieutenant Choi Tae-in, a team of nine soldiers embarks on a rescue mission to R-Point. Upon arrival, they encounter a Vietnamese woman wielding a machine gun in a trench, which they defeat. As they search for the missing soldiers, they stumble upon a tombstone revealing a dark history: one hundred years prior, Chinese forces killed Vietnamese people, dumped their bodies in a lake, and built a temple over the site, making it a sacred location for the Vietnamese. As the rescue team delves deeper, bizarre occurrences start to plague their mission.
