The Pecos Kid, a notorious hunter, is ambushed and left for dead in the Red Desert. As he recovers, he recalls his mission to capture Lefty Jordon, a man with many disguises and aliases, who has been robbing government gold. Pecos travels to the West, meeting various characters along the way, including a casino owner and a saloon entertainer. He becomes a card dealer and discovers that the owner is shipping gold into jewelry, leading to a series of events that ultimately reveal the true identity of Lefty Jordon.
