Chris Buckley, a former KKK leader, receives help from an interventionist after his wife expresses concern. Despite renouncing the KKK, Buckley retains prejudice against Muslims, fueled by 9/11 and military experiences. His beliefs are challenged by Dr. Heval Kelli, a Kurdish refugee and cardiologist, who seeks to understand and quell rising white nationalism in his refugee community. An unlikely relationship develops, and Chris must overcome his hate while Dr. Kelli searches for understanding.
