In the spring of 18__, loggers descend upon a mill town in the upper Mississippi region, where they're greeted by a riverboat and its captivating queen, Sequin. She's already smitten with logger Dan Corrigan, but her affections are also coveted by the sharp businessman Beauvais, who has his sights set on the local sawmill. To keep Dan by her side, Sequin cleverly persuades him to manage the Morrison Mill, only to find herself facing competition from Stephanie, the charming daughter of the mill's owner.
