Rockin' in the Rockies background

Rockin' in the Rockies

Rusty Williams entrusts his ranch to his cousin Shorty, who abandons his responsibilities to chase his dream of prospecting, seeking investors in town at the Wagon Wheel Cafe.

A group of misadventures unfold on a large ranch when Rusty Williams returns to find his cousin Shorty in charge. Shorty's prospecting ambitions lead him to convince two vagrants to back his scheme, while two singing sisters are persuaded to stay at the ranch. Meanwhile, Rusty plans to sell the ranch, but his cowhands suspect rustlers when the cattle escape, leading to a series of events that ultimately reveal a valuable mineral on the ranch and secure a partnership with a mining buyer. The cowhands also impress a Broadway producer, securing a spot in his New York show.
