Old time rodeo performer Raymond Hatton and his grandson arrive in a small town with an injured horse, and a local minister tends its leg. A wealthy but selfish widow lives in the town, and the church is in debt. However, the horse's success in a surrey race solves the minister's financial problems, and the widow's attitude softens after being influenced by Hatton, his grandson, and the minister.
