A young woman, Ho Mei Fong, flees from a gang of criminals while carrying a valuable item in her purse. She dies in a taxi, but not before hiding the purse, drawing taxi driver Chien Chen into the mystery. His involvement is compounded by the arrival of Ho Mei's sister, a Hong Kong policewoman, as they work together to uncover the secrets of the missing purse and evade the criminals and their hired thugs, led by Jackie Chan.
