In 1974, as the US withdraws its troops from Saigon, the remaining presence is reduced to a few advisors, including CIA members. Against this unusual backdrop, CIA analyst Bob Chesneau and bank executive Barbara Dean, played by Frederic Forrest and Dame Judi Dench, respectively, engage in an affair.
