Linda Hamilton, a college queen and sorority president, is diagnosed with a terminal illness and keeps it a secret from her father, a district attorney. She begins to frequent illegal gambling dens, including the Blue Parrot Cabaret, where she is photographed by the casino owner. Her relationships with the gamblers and a reporter, Paul Reynolds, lead to a series of events that put her and her father at odds.
