In 1950s Madrid, a woman named Montse is trapped in her apartment by agoraphobia and clings to her lost youth through her role as her younger sister's caregiver. Her life is disrupted when a reckless young neighbor, Carlos, falls down the stairs and seeks refuge in her home, bringing a sense of danger and uncertainty into her isolated world.
