US Marshal Lash La Rue and his deputy Fuzzy Jones travel to Star City, where a gang of bandits led by El Sombre, a mysterious masked man, are in control. Lash becomes suspicious when he sees the sheriff at a saloon frequented by gang members. He later discovers that Vicki, the niece of the man who sent for him and was murdered, and Piute, the Indian foreman of the Burleigh property, are also working to unravel the mysteries of Star City.
