Harry Lee, a Malaysian man who has failed in his studies, returns home to find his father disowning him. He forms a dance band with his childhood friend Yati, who is a modern Malay and Muslim. The band's diverse members, including a Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Eurasian, represent the country's multicultural society and communicate in English.
