A young Muslim woman, trapped in an arranged marriage, seeks solace in Allah as she endures physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her husband. Despite her submission to her faith, she cannot accept the violence inflicted upon her in the name of devotion. Her inner conflict is further complicated by a rape at the hands of her uncle, and an unexpected attraction to a stranger in the market.
