Jackson Redan, a former Confederate officer, arrives in Arizona to start anew, but his past soon catches up with him. He meets Reva Cairn, a saloon-girl, and Don Miguel Wormser, a town merchant. Despite rescuing Reva from his enemy Jacob Stint, Jackson treats her coldly, considering her beneath him.
