A rock band gets stranded in Tahiti after the Nazi occupation of France, embarking on a series of daring adventures that intertwine with the journey of a French-American nightclub singer.

In the midst of World War II, a band led by Mickey Monroe finds themselves stranded in Tahiti after the fall of France to the Nazis. The band's fortunes take a turn for the worse, and they're forced to consider taking on a new singer, Suzie Durand, to survive. Despite the initial reluctance, Mickey falls for Suzie and secretly takes her on board a ship headed to the United States.
