Chris Shaw, an internet sensation, performed rituals to summon spirits in his videos. His final video was never broadcast, until now. He and his friends, including his girlfriend Tara, travel to a remote house in rural Victoria to perform a ritual called Beckoning the Butcher, which they found online. After the ritual, everyone vanished without a trace, leaving only Chris's camera footage as a clue. The film uses interviews and the footage to piece together the events of that night and determine what happened to the group.
