A Vietnam War veteran, Tucker, is a chronic underachiever and loser, struggling to find purpose after his discharge. His only notable skill is his proficiency with a rifle. After being imprisoned for murder, Tucker hits rock-bottom. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when a well-dressed stranger visits him, offering a deal: if Tucker agrees to kill someone for the stranger, he'll be set free.
