Ann Dexter, daughter of a Haitian waterfront character, brings a stolen golden idol to treasure hunter Bill Buchanan, who agrees to let her join him in search of the treasure after receiving directions and voodoo charms from a native friend. They dive into an underwater passage, leading to an island where they encounter a Pagan tribe, learning that the idol represents the dead and hundreds more lie at the bottom of a sacred burial lake.
