Johann Strauss II, a composer and performer, defies convention in 1845 Vienna by creating waltzes, a genre initially deemed unsuitable for high society, as his friends affectionately call him "Jonahi".

In 1845 Vienna, Johann Strauss II, a talented composer, quits his bank job to pursue his passion for waltzes, despite societal norms. He forms an orchestra and gains fame after opera singers discover his music, introducing him to royalty and a music publisher. As his musical success grows, Johann's life is torn between his loving wife and his passionate but destructive affair with Carla Donner, who is already involved with Count Anton Hohenfried.
